October Post

A few pictures from October. And yes, we were the lucky recipients of snow. While all the neighbors were freaking out, the old school Buffalonians took it in stride. (I was secretly hoping for more!). Things are well in our house with the exception of all the mass hysteria regarding the flu. Fingers crossed we escape unharmed....

A Birthday, Pre-School, & wait its FALL already!

Time seems to be flying by in our house at a rapid pace.

Today I took Will for his orientation at pre-school. Its was fascinating to watch all these toddlers interacting with each other. The not sharing, ignoring the teacher, arguing with their parents - all the things I've been secretly worked up with Will. A huge sigh of relief as we walked out together chatting about how nice Mrs. Salada (his teacher) was, and how the girl with the polka-dot dress was VERY pretty just like Barbie. He's totally normal, fit right in and had a ball.
Until the end when Coach Eric demonstrated an extra program called "Soccer Shorts". He went around the group allowing each child to kick a goal (after a totally fun session learning how to stretch, pass the ball and simon says) picking Will to go first. He kicked the ball, short of the goal and melted down. Bad. With tears. Throwing himself on the ground inconsolable. When I asked Will later about signing up for soccer my question was met with a quick "no thanks". Can't say I blame him.

Ben continues to grow by leaps and bounds. He recently discovered his hands and loves to gnaw on them. His feet go a mile a minute, and he's started to reach/bat at objects. He's especially fascinated with Will and lights up whenever he comes close (Will is equally smitten with him). He smiles, laughs and is just the best baby anyone could have ordered. And to think he's not only adorable, but sleeps more than 2 hours at night!

And as I write this the quest for the perfect Halloween ensemble for the Koppmann clan continues. Suggestions welcome.....

Back in Buffalo

It was a wonderful weekend filled with lots of family. A shower for Lauren, Ben's baptism and catching up with loved ones. The days went too fast, and before we knew it we were back in the car headed home. Thanks to everyone for making the trip so special for the boys (and us!).

Ben, (always an avid listener to anyone who will hold him and chat away) was all ears as Will explained the concept of being brothers. Oh and Matchbox cars.

A quick update since I forced myself to grab the camera this weekend.
We took the boys to the local pool Saturday where I thought Ben would pass out - no such luck until the last 30 minutes. But Will had a blast and as always is fun to photograph. Ben still can't figure out that 3am play dates are not fun for anyone but him. All in due time I guess. At least he's cute and likes to chatter when I sing to him which makes me *melt*

Happy 4th!

Well we're all still alive over here.
Thankfully Ben is a great baby with the exception his days & nights are totally mixed up.  He saws wood (out like a log) during the day but then up every hour starving at night.  Its been night of the living dead at our house.  But Will manages to keep us laughing.  His latest is "going to the beach" where he insists on wearing mom's sunglasses, "sombrero" (keepin' it real Uncle Hefe!) and flip flops.  I think we'll title the bottom pic: "this is how we roll".

Hope everyone has a fun 4th and a shout out to Kristin & Jon hope the move goes ok!

The Last Hurrah....

Some pictures from our overnight at Bedford Springs and stop at DelGrosso's amusement park on the way home.  Hard to believe this will be the last get away with an only child.
Yikes!

And it looks like everyone is cranking out the kids - our neighbors down the street spotted this little guy in their back yard at dusk....

Spring Catch-up

A few pictures to catch up from the last post.....

Only four (plus or minus!) weeks to go.  Looks like I get to go a week before my due date of June 27th which is a huge *sigh* of relief.  One more ultra sound on June 1st to see how much little brother is growing before scheduling an induction date with the hospital.

Will is up to his usual antics, always trying our patience to the bitter end but managing to make us crack up with his comical humor.  We started potty training which knock on wood (or shall I say "knock on the froggy potty") is going pretty well.  I keep trying to explain to him Pampers doesn't make anything bigger than size 7 and please please please try to get the hang of this because mommy can't afford reordering from diapers.com every other week since any normal store won't carry past size 5.  The next size after 7?
Yup thats right little man - Depends

Talleyrand Park

The sun was out today (and it looked much warmer than 45 degrees) so I decided to take Will over to Talleyrand Park in Bellefonte for some fresh air. It was a nice change of pace from our usual stomping grounds, and thankfully the ducks were hungry for our stale Cherrios. Bonus! (In trying to be a good parent I omitted the ones of him chasing the ducks until they flew away....but it was pretty funny!!)

Aunt Aly & Uncle Steve's Visit!

A super fun time with Aunt Aly & Uncle Steve.  Lots of peeps, books on tooting pooches and tons of hugs!  Miss you guys already!  PS Trying hard not to dive into the chili.  lol

Where is Spring Already

We keep getting spoiled with temps reaching 60's then a few days later slapped back into reality with breezy 40's again. I'm so ready for spring. In other fun news Tom finished the new nursery for "baby #2". And in a desperate attempt to spice things up we had a nice St Patty's photo shoot to commemorate our love of delicious Irish stout. Bella had a rough week last week but is on the mend from her teeth cleaning. Thankfully she doesn't have breath that smells like wharf at low tide anymore.

Happy St Patty's Day!

Cousins

A fun overnight with Hannah & Nicholas last night and a great chance to catch up with everyone....including riveting episodes of Wow Wow Wubzzy.

Its Another Boy!

Monday we zipped in for the ultra sound and everything appears to be 100% normal. Although these pictures freak me out (I keep over analyzing them) I'll post them anyway. It was pretty neat to see the little bugger in 3-D and based on my chart he's on track to compete with his older brother in size/weight.

*sigh*

OMG ITS LIKE SUMMER!

Well yesterday it was an incredible 50 degrees here!! Woo hoo!!
After being completely stir-crazy for most of January I took Will outside for some much needed fresh air and eventually lots of soaked clothes.

And today we're back to 20 degrees and blustering wind. Awesome.

It was only a matter of time

After letting Bella out for 30 seconds I came back in to see Picasso's latest masterpiece. A crayon he had hidden under the DVD player for that perfect special occasion when mom wasn't looking.
Just one more reason why I hate the color burnt sienna.
