mmmmm Otto's Beer

So Will is fascinated with the Otto's growler lately. It cracks Tom & I up since he likes to tip it up taking a "swig" (yes its empty!!) and carry it around the kitchen.

We had a rough weekend. Will had a bit of a head cold prompting lots of coughing and runny nose issues. Coughing so bad we took him to the emergency room Saturday night (probably a bad move but when you're running on a complete lack of sleep you don't think straight). 4am he was checked out and we were discharged with "let it run its course his lungs are clear". Argh. But he's better thankfully. Knock on wood this weekend is better than last.

PSU vs UB

What a great weekend! Lauren, Pete, Andy and Jes came down from Buffalo to hang out at Gibson Place and throw down some serious football cheering. At first UB looked like they actually had a chance against Penn State, but then Penn came back strong and finished out with a win 45 to 24. A shout out to Carolyn for the best seats in the hiz-ouse! The weather was awesome and it was a lot of fun to catch up with family. A big thanks to you guys for lugging down all the fixings for a great tailgate (what good are hot dogs if they aren't Salens!) and some wicked good Chiavetta's chicken for the grill. Will definitely misses everyone and all the attention!

More Books Please!

Lately Will loves to grab some books and plop down you your lap for a few renditions of "Where's Thomas", "Puppy on the Farm" or other assorted Pulitzer Prizes. He recently figured out that instead of climbing the stairs, that they make the best reading spot. I caught him quietly sitting (and trying to scoot his rear-end) onto the step to read "Spots Easter". It was pretty cute. Even Daddy had to take a seat and join the fun.

FEAST...

I don't know why - but Tom & I couldn't stop laughing when we saw this for the first time last night. We might have been delirious but I still think its funny. Its all about the Ford Taurus.

Welcome Home Marissa!

We've been waiting and praying a long time to finally meet Marissa and have her come home to the US for good. Yesterday we were able to sneak down and make some introductions. Will enjoyed hanging out with his new BFF and touching her pretty headband (and seeing Noah!), but I'm inclined to think goldfish and puffs had a big part of the fun. Its hard to believe Will turned 1 on July 16th and Marissa will be turning 1 on September 12th. Don't worry Marissa, Will is going to make sure no one messes with his new girlfriend!!

Welcome home cutie!

Life Is Good...

Today is Tom's birthday and the day has been great. He fully enjoyed his gift bag of "Gold Toe" socks (sad to say the creativity was completely lacking this year). But in better news yesterday Penn State crushed Florida in a 59 to 0 shutout, the cafe was hopping with business and the sun has been out all day. All is good with the world. Tonight our friends welcome their new daughter Marissa into their home all the way from Kazakhstan. We're so excited to sneak over and meet her tomorrow - Will can't wait for a new playmate.

I made it a point to capture a few good pictures of the weekend fun around here for all to enjoy. There's also a little snippet of Will trying to take a few steps. He was completely intrigued with the birthday candles, then utterly perplexed when Tom blew them out. "But daddy, where's the lights??"
